# How to set up WSL and Docker Desktop

|
|
# WSL
|
|
|
|
1. Go to windows store
|
|
2. Look for Ubuntu
|
|
3. Pick Ubuntu 24.04 (or whatever version is reasonable at the time you are reading this) and install it
|
|
4. Enable the WSL
|
|
1. Control panel
|
|
2. Go to Turn Windows Features On or Off
|
|
3. Activate Windows Subsystem for Linux
|
|
4. Reboot
|
|

# Docker Desktop
|
|
|
|
1. Download Docker Desktop
|
|
2. Install it
|
|
3. Settings > Resources > Engine → Enable WSL2 integration with Ubuntu
|
|
4. Try to run on your Ubuntu terminal: `docker run hello-world` |
