Call with Vanessa

On 2026-04-22 I call with Vanessa Rivas from estudiovortex.com to check on the immigration procedure. Basically, same questions as with Carlos Artiga. She will charge me 125USD for the call.

I pay with this transaction: https://mempool.space/tx/c08c3b4a421fea28a34b4cbd22661988a188b7d4bccf3ccf4f98ba1183c7ac9e

My questions:

  • Ways to temporary residency for our case
  • Specific examples of temporary residence
  • Do we truly NOT need to be there for Residencia Definitiva AT ALL?
  • This looks so simple?

Meeting notes

  • They have Spanish customers.

  • "La ley es muy amigable"

  • Two years of residence

The full process according to Vanessa:

  • First step is just landing in the country with tourist visa (180 days)
  • Then, apply for "residencia". There are multiple options:
    • Residencia rentista (comes from the outside of the country)
      • You need to have the bank account in El Salvador and put the money there, money should come from abroad
      • You can only do the financial activity you stated, you can't
      • 90 días doesn't need to be continuous
      • "They are not completely strict with you need to have the income the 12 months". This is proved with a bank statement.
    • Residencia "empresa"
      • Create an entity to invoice
      • Can be managed remotely with firma electronica
    • Residencia "proyecto"
      • Futuro negocio, any kind of activity, you can start just with a plan
      • After one year, they will kind of "soft-audit" that things are "happening"
    • Residencia temporal during one year
    • Residencia temporal 90 days is a thing, before it was either 6 or 8 months
    • Then apply for definitiva
    • With definitiva you don't need to be in the country at all
    • There is an exam about culture and language
    • Then ask for passport, takes about nine months
    • Minors can be attached and can also get the passport
    • Once you get it the clock starts ticking

Notes:

  • How long do we need to pretend the "rentista" condition during residencia temporal?

After meeting: Vanessa sent me a proposal/budget for the first step of the process (getting the residencia temporal). 4200USD, includes the three of us. I'll attach it here.
