# Laptop Syncthing Deploy I wanted to run Synchthing on Oli but since Oli is running on Ubuntu 18.04 as of today, the available syncthing versions are too old to work with my phone. So I will workaround this by deploying syncthing in Oli with docker. To run syncthing: 1. Create folder `~/st-sync` 2. Create a `docker-compose.yaml` file inside with the contents below ```yaml version: "3" services: syncthing: image: syncthing/syncthing container_name: syncthing hostname: my-syncthing environment: - PUID=1000 - PGID=1000 volumes: - ~/st-sync:/var/syncthing - ~/hojas:/var/syncthing/hojas ports: - 8384:8384 # Web UI - 22000:22000/tcp # TCP file transfers - 22000:22000/udp # QUIC file transfers - 21027:21027/udp # Receive local discovery broadcasts restart: unless-stopped ``` 3. You can run with ```bash cd ~/st-sync docker-compose up -d ```
