# Little Git SSH cloning trick When you try to git clone repos with SSH from our Azure DevOps environment, you will get URLs that look like this: [`guardhog@vs-ssh.visualstudio.com](mailto:guardhog@vs-ssh.visualstudio.com):v3/guardhog/Data/data-repo-blablabla` This string will not work due to some funny quirkiness from Microsoft to make our life’s more exciting and challenging. To fix it, replace the `vs-ssh.visualstudio.com` in the clone string with `ssh.dev.azure.com`. So, the original url and the replaced, final, working one would look like this: [`guardhog@vs-ssh.visualstudio.com](mailto:guardhog@vs-ssh.visualstudio.com):v3/guardhog/Data/data-repo-blablabla` [`guardhog@](mailto:guardhog@vs-ssh.visualstudio.com)[ssh.dev.azure.com](http://ssh.dev.azure.com/):v3/guardhog/Data/data-repo-blablabla`
