# Connecting to the DWH

Before you connect, make sure you have [set up the VPN](VPN%20Set%20up%2001affb09a9f648fbad89b74444f920ca.md). Otherwise, you won’t be able to connect.

These are the details of our [DWH](https://www.notion.so/DWH-78ce5f76598d49d185fa5fc49a818dc4?pvs=21):

- host: [superhog-dwh-prd.postgres.database.azure.com](http://superhog-dwh-prd.postgres.database.azure.com/)
- port: 5432
- database: dwh
- user and password: there are multiple roles in DWH and both personal and service accounts. Check with Pablo what would be the right user for you depending on your needs.

Unless you have extraordinary needs, these are the only fields you need to modify in the connection creation window in DBeaver.

You can confirm that your new connection works by using the `Test connection...` button on the connection creation window.
