# Request for ideas [Data Team]
# What is this?
The Data team is running a quite interesting line of work to improve our flagging system.
Your ideas and thoughts are critical to steering this in the right direction. Were sharing this template to collect them.
# How to use it?
- Make a copy of this page just for yourself.
- Read through the C*ontext* section.
- Fill in *Your ideas* section.
- Once youre done, share with Pablo.
Note: well be collecting these until 2025-05-02.
# Context
Screening guests is one of our core activities. Our hosts guests go through different types of journeys depending on the selected services, but they all lead to a final state for the booking: Approved, Flagged, Not Approved, etc. These currently serve as both risk info for our hosts, as well as a contractual factor for our protection services limits.
The dreaming starts here: imagine Ben R. went to Hogwarts for a semester and came back with a **magical** **screening crystal ball.** This is a magical ball that can see the future of any booking, and tell us whether there is going to be damage to the property during it or not. Maybe even what damage and how costly will it be.
Ben can plug this ball into some server in Truvis systems (since its 2025, the crystal ball obviously has a USB-C connector) and have all of our screenings be marked as Approved or Not Approved depending on what the crystal ball says. And again, every time, the booking will not have any issues if the crystal ball said it was approved, and reversely, will surely have damages and claims if the crystal ball says it will.
# Your ideas
Having that crystal ball would be really nice. But, if we had it… what would we do with it?
**We would like your input on how do you think we could best leverage an incredible screening process to serve our customers and do business with new or modified services.**
The question is open ended, but just to give a bit of guidance if you dont know where to start…
- Would you change the pricing/offering/delivery/terms of any of our services? How?
- Would you propose new screening/protection/something-else services? How would they work?
- Would you perhaps even try it out and entirely new line of business that has nothing to do with what we do today?
- Who would be the ideal customer for your modified/new services?
- How would you price them?
Some additional tips:
- Please, be dreamy. Dont think much of constraints, restrictions, execution, etc. This is all about the what and the why, not about the who, the when or the how.
- Feel no pressure to only add “good” ideas. Were collecting creativity: were happy to hear all kinds of non-sense. Well simply park it somewhere in the future if it doesnt work out :)
- Explain yourself in whatever way feels more comfortable. We are not looking for specific format or length.
⚠️ **Please remember to make a copy of this page. Three dots on the top right > Duplicate** ⚠️
Your turn.
***If we had the magical screening crystal ball…***
## Thoughts
- Features: Booking, Listing, Guest and Host
- If we detect G/H patterns that are risky → when selling, decide pricing accordingly and/or when extending contract, decide price accordingly
- Current functionality: if were able to increase current screening and flagging performance, it would naturally increase overall risk management Truvi-wise.
- Adjust Service Price to Protection Amount (or vice versa)
- Opt-In functionality: a flagged booking that reduces protection can allow to increase protection for an additional fee
- On Guest Products, which is one off - dynamic pricing vs risk makes more sense. But what if we had Low Risk accounts that we could offer a Low Price services, is there market?
