# Q3 Data Achievements

# **Q3 Recap: Achievements and Status Update**
As we approach the end of Q3, we want to take a moment to reflect on our progress and key achievements over the past quarter. Below is a summary of the Data OKRs we set for this quarter, along with the current status and any pertinent comments.
## **Enhance Finance Processes**
- **Support invoicing improvements:**
- *Status:* Support has been granted, initiative to find a new invoicing tool is ongoing. Hyperline implementation is now planned for development in Q1 2025 in the Dash Squad.
- **Prevent e-deposit manual invoicing:**
- *Status:* Accomplished. An exporter was built to facilitate e-deposit invoicing first, and a dedicated Power BI report was later created and shared with finance team to be autonomous on e-deposit invoicing.
- **Prevent Guesty manual invoicing:**
- *Status:* Blocked. Progress is hindered due to unclear invoicing rules for Guesty.
- **New automation and reporting possibilities with Xero integration in DWH:**
- *Status:* Delivered. Xero integration completed, with new reporting features added to ease finance work in the matter of invoicing, crediting and host resolutions. Additionally, Xero integration has been incorporated and used for KPIs on revenue and resolutions.
## **Provide Business KPIs Reporting**
- **Definition of main metrics, dimensions, timelines, and main converted metrics:**
- *Status:* Accomplished. A total of 43 new metrics are available within 3 different categories (dimensions). The metrics include invoiced fees, guest payments, bookings, guest journeys, deal lifecycle, listing lifecycle and host resolutions. The dimensions include a global overview, as well as host segmentations based on the number of listings booked in the past 12 months and the host billing country.
- **New holistic KPI dashboard available:**
- *Status:* Completed. Holistic reporting has been made available early on and improved during the course of the quarter. The current status allows for a short-term visualisation approach (MTD) and long-term KPI exposition (Monthly Overview, Global Evolution over Time, Detail by Category). Lastly, an extensive Data Glossary is available, which provides further explanation on the metrics and categories definitions and any data quality issue to consider.
- **Conduct a first assessment on product/area-specific metrics:**
- *Status:* First assessment on product-specific KPIs meeting has been conducted in September and refinement sessions are expected beginning of Q4 before proceeding to the implementation.
## **Grant Continuous Support to Business Teams**
- **Ad-hoc requests handling (capped at 10h/week):**
- *Status:* Support provided. 41 support requests completed from a total of 47 created over 3 months, helping more than 16 colleagues. A survey was also sent, achieving a 9.5/10 support score.
- **New Pricing support:**
- *Status:* Support granted. Initiative is still ongoing at company level, and from Data team our implication has been providing support and understanding impacts as New Pricing is being applied to more clients.
- **New Dashboard support:**
- *Status:* Support granted. New reporting for User adoption has been created for the MVP tracking. Reporting needs for future iterations as well as discussions with the development team have been handled and is currently in progress on Data side to track V2 performance as soon as its launched. Overall, the initiative is ongoing as well as our implication as New Dashboard phases move forward.
- **Currency conversion automation/integration:**
- *Status:* Completed. A new in-house tool named Xexe has been created to retrieve and store the currency conversion into DWH from Xe.com. The currency conversion data has been propagated to existing and new reporting, thus achieving better comprehension on revenues and costs.
- **New Screening API support:**
- *Status:* A new report has been created and its ready to track performance as soon as client adoption starts.
- **New Resolution API support:**
- *Status:* A first discussion has happened beginning of September, and partial needs for Resolutions team have been mitigated by providing access to existing reporting. First data on New Resolution API and Resolution Center should be ready to be ingested after the official launch, and the reporting discussed will be expected for Q4.
## **Improve Data Foundations**
- **CosmosDB - API/Resolutions data integrated into DWH:**
- *Status:* New in-house ingestion tool named Anaxi has been created to read data from CosmosDB. E-deposit, Athena and Screening API data has been integrated to DWH, and both Athena and E-deposit existing reporting is now reading from DWH. Anaxi is a key component that will unlock future Data reporting initiatives, such as Resolutions, CIH and Cancellation API.
- **Hubspot - CRM data integrated into DWH:**
- *Status:* The first ingestions of key Hubspot areas happened by late September and its contents are currently being discussed with Business Systems. This integration will allow better quality for deal-based information as well as unlock more reporting possibilities in the scope of Sales and Account Management.
- **DBT docs availability:**
- *Status:* DBT docs are available in local for data team members, allowing to track model dependencies effectively. A wider production-based DBT docs is still pending, but not critical at all.
## Beyond Planned Objectives
Additional work that has been done or needs to be done that is not in the direct scope of the objectives we set at the end of June.
### **Additional Work: Completed**
- **Guest Scope:**
- Check-in Hero reporting: many improvements to track all nuances of Check-in Hero, to the point that its one of the most complete reports available. Apart from the CIH detailed tracking, its helping understanding the reporting possibilities on other scopes.
- Guest Satisfaction reporting: a new report is available containing the CSAT score tracking of our Guests over time.
- Guest Journey tracking: review with tech team on improvements to further increase analytical understanding. This includes support on the data quality of key events, such as Guest Journey Completion Date, as well as first discussions on guest allocation and tracking for A/B test purposes.
- **Tax inclusiveness on Guest Payments:** a piece of work to ensure consistency of monetary and revenue figures across the different sources of data, specially against Finance figures. At this stage, all guest payments reporting is without taxes - except stated otherwise - in the different Power BI reports. Theres still some discrepancies on the host-takes-waiver format that is being discussed with the Finance team.
- **KPIs at client level:** deal-based extension of the KPIs to track the performance of our clients. ****Integrated within the Main KPIs Power BI report, it contains most of the main KPIs, as well as information of the lifecycle of the client. Additionally, a month-by-month evolution and a deal comparison has been made available.
- **Minimum listing fee invoicing:** the invoicing exporter has been improved to include the capability of invoicing a minimum listing fee, thus increasing the company revenue.
- **Data quality improvements:** several data quality assessments have been conducted & automatic data tests have been implemented, going one step further on increasing data quality
### **Additional Work: Pending**
- **Cancellation API reporting/invoicing support.**
- **Check-in Hero API reporting/invoicing support.**
- **E-deposit Cosmos DB migration**: a technical migration of the Cosmos DB that will effectively split Athena vs. E-deposits records is going to happen in the following weeks. In the meantime, the migration and necessary adaptation of models at Data side is planned to avoid downtime.
